Course Overview
This half-day advanced reflective supervision simulation course builds upon the knowledge, skills and values gained in the one-day Reflective Supervision classroom training. The course offers a safe, guided, and realistic environment for learners to practice reflective supervision skills through diverse and impactful learning methods, including hands-on practice, self-reflection, peer and facilitator feedback and peer observation.
What will I learn in this training?
By participating in this simulation, learners will deepen their self-awareness, enhance their ability to recognize and manage personal biases, and strengthen their competence and confidence in engaging staff in meaningful reflection on their personal experiences, thoughts and emotions as they relate to work with children and families.
By the end of the course, participants will emerge with refined skills and confidence to effectively engage in reflective supervision, fostering compassionate and empathetic practices with children, youth, and families.
