This course will cover the overview of Safety Organized Practice and the California Integrated Core Practice Model in two parts.
Part 1:
An introduction to Safety Organized Practice (SOP) and SOP methods/tools, including the Three Questions, Cultural Humility, Solution-Focused Questions, Harm and Danger/Risk Statements, Safety Goals, Three Houses, Safety House, and Child and Family Team Meetings.
Part 2:
A brief introduction to the California Integrated Core Practice Model (ICPM) for Children, Youth and Families. The ICPM is a framework to support child welfare practice and allow child welfare professionals to be more effective in their roles. The ICPM parallels Core training for new child welfare workers in areas of engagement, assessment and team preparation, service planning, monitoring and adaption, and transition.
