This course is a follow-up to the Foundational Wraparound training, designed to delve deeper into the process of identifying, engaging and retaining natural supports for children, youth and families. It is a hands-on skills lab with minimal traditional instruction, encouraging participants to practice their techniques for working with natural supports within the Wraparound process.
In this course, participants will learn how to:
- Work with families to identify and engage natural supports.
- Illustrate DEI considerations in securing natural supports.
- Identify individualized strategies for engaging and retaining natural supports on a Child and Family Team (CFT).
- Apply practical strategies to assist families or team members in identifying natural supports.
- Identify how natural supports can be utilized in the four phases of Wraparound.
