This training examines the foundational principles of child protection law and provides an in-depth exploration and discussion surrounding each type of dependency court hearing.

By attending this training, participants will:

  • Understand the function of the juvenile dependency court
  • Acquire an overview of the purpose and procedures of each type of dependency court hearing, from the initial hearing through dismissal or permanent placement
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of the child welfare worker and all other parties in the court process
