Residentially Based Services is an intervention for high need children, youth, and their families to address complex behavioral issues. The goal is to decrease the amount of time that children or youth must remain away from their families and their communities, and increase their relationships and capacity to participate fully in their families and communities.
Topics include
- understand the principles and tenants of residentially based services
- know the target population and be able to make a referral
- identify the components of residentially based services
- know the benefits of residentially based services for children, youth, families, and service providers
- describe the arc of care
Participants will have the foundational knowledge and skills to participate in residentially based services.
