This course promotes collaboration between county child welfare programs, fiscal leaders, public agencies and nonprofits to explore and expand braided and blended funding models.
Key topics include identifying funding opportunities, navigating federal guidelines and engaging system partners. The course combines lectures, discussions and exercises to understand and apply funding concepts.
After completing this course, participants will:
- Learn how to identify and maximize funding streams and resources to expand services and support for foster children and NMDs
- Leverage resources by examining procedures, fiscal planning, and reviewing calculations that operationalize blended and/or braided funding.
- Develop comprehensive action plans, including agreements and MOUs
