The California Child Welfare Core Practice Model (CPM), which has now been incorporated into the Integrated Core Practice Model (ICPM), provides practical guidance and direction to support county child welfare, juvenile probation, behavioral health agencies, and their partners in delivery of timely, effective and collaborative services to children, youth and families. This ICPM Overview is for county child welfare, juvenile probation, behavioral health agency partners to support the use of the ICPM by their teams and agencies, and in direct practice and supervision.
After attending this half-day training, participants will be able to:
- Identify the ICPM's components, theoretical framework, values and principles, practice elements, practice behaviors, leadership behaviors and use of data
- Understand how the ICPM practice elements/phases, practice behaviors and leadership behaviors support our work, and how they are informed by a theoretical framework and values
- Recognize how ICPM integrates with Safety Organized Practice (SOP), Child and Family Teams (CFT) and the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) to create one integrated approach to best practice
- Apply practice elements and behaviors to uphold the ICPM as a foundational framework for practitioners and leadership across county systems
