Social workers, supervisors, visit supervisors, case aides, and family time coaches are encouraged to join this series of practice-level learning collaboratives. This engaging series presents a great opportunity for a focused review of and discussion about the family time coaching model. These learning collaboratives will be facilitated by an experienced family time coach. Counties and their family time coaching providers are encouraged to attend and share their successes and challenges related to implementing family time coaching. These ongoing, quarterly learning collaboratives will focus on a variety of topics including, but not limited to, the following:
- Overview of family time Coaching model
- Using the pie chart tool to engage with parents around their needs and strengths
- Managing disruptive and difficult behavior during family time
- Skill building around active listening and de-escalation
- Engaging fathers in family time
- Strategies for creating one-on-one time in visits with multiple children
- Collaborative documentation; shifting mindset around how visits are documented
- Strategies for successful family time coaching implementation
