Emergency Response Engagement and Safety Planning in the Time of COVID-19 (Virtual Training)

This training is primarily geared toward emergency response social workers and will focus on the difficulties and opportunities created by COVID-19 when responding to referrals either in person or virtually.

After attending this training, participants will have increased capacity to:

  • Mobilize a safety network when the network is unable to see the family in person
  • Engage with families while wearing personal protective equipment and minimizing in-person contact
  • Interview children for safety with their parents present
  • Practice self-care and work within our own trauma responses in this time of heightened vulnerability

This is a virtual classroom training with a live instructor that requires communication and engagement at the same level as an in-person class. Use of a webcam is required.
