This workshop focuses on interpersonal communication and relationships with clients, coworkers, supervisors and subordinates. Participants learn how their behavior and attitudes impact others and how to positively deal with difficult behaviors. Additionally, participants learn the characteristics of effective working relationships such as how to set the stage for active listening, use questions in a positive way, and give the feedback needed for successful communication.
- Describe the largest challenge related to dealing with individuals who may be difficult to work with;
- Recognize clusters of non-verbal communication to better understand what others are “really saying."
- Apply effective communication skills to interactions with individuals who may behave in a challenging manner.
