Course Overview:
The Wraparound and Peer Partners ECHO offers an "All Teach-All Learn" model with experts and peers across California, focusing on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in systems of care, especially for youth and families in Wraparound. This four-part series encourages full participation, providing valuable insights and practical strategies to navigate complex cases with a DEI perspective. This course is designed for Wraparound staff, peer and parent partners, mental health providers, probation and social workers, case managers, supervisors and community partners.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will develop essential skills in inclusive language and cultural responsiveness to learn how to apply DEI principles within systems of care. They will acquire a deep understanding of diverse cultural, social, family and individual experiences and learn how to apply inclusive language and culturally responsive practices, enhancing their ability to support families effectively and empathetically. The series emphasizes the importance of understanding and valuing different perspectives, allowing participants to gain valuable insights from peers and experts through collaborative, strengths-based case presentations.
