This course aims to inspire and empower individuals to grow in excellence and professionalism in their Public Assistance role. The morning portion of the training addresses how self-love, self-confidence and healthy boundary-setting lay a solid foundation for outward professional behavior.
The afternoon portion examines characteristics long considered hallmarks of professional behavior in the workplace, including accountability in all its forms and the striving for excellence in one’s daily duties. Practical application of concepts will be discussed in both large and small groups. Opportunities for self-reflection and goal-setting are incorporated throughout the day.
After attending this training, participants will be able to:
- Describe key characteristics of professional behavior and understand how these characteristics can be applied to one’s own role in Public Assistance.
- Understand the connection between outward professional behavior and the inner self: healthy self-image, self-confidence and self-love.
- Apply characteristics of professional behavior to one’s own behavior in the workplace.
- Grow in competency in the performance of one’s Public Assistance role.
- Reflect on how their self-concept (self-image and self-love) has influenced their self-confidence and their professional relationships.
- Consider how well they are practicing the characteristics of accountability in the workplace.
