In this two-day classroom module, participants will learn about the Stages of Change and identify strategies for engaging and motivating family members experiencing substance use disorders, intimate partner violence and/or behavioral health issues. Participants will explore the role of the child welfare practitioner in working with families experiencing these issues and will practice building case plan interventions used by child welfare workers to engage children, youth and families.
