This class is designed to help child welfare professionals learn practical and tangible ways to incorporate the principles of Safety Organized Practice into daily visitation work with families.
After attending this training, participants will be able to:
- Understand the role and progression of visitation in a child welfare case
- Implement an SOP-based visitation plan
- Develop and monitor a visitation plan with a family
- Debrief with all participants after a visit
This visitation framework acknowledges past and current trauma for both parents and children, worries that families may have about visitation, and the need to create the most effective visitation plan possible in a short time frame.
