This two-day workshop will focus on the meaningful and impactful conversations directors and program managers can have with staff. We know, and now research backs us up, that staff benefit from having authentic conversations about their roles in the organization, and their growth and learning in the workplace.
In this workshop, directors and managers will learn the anatomy of a coaching conversation, i.e. goal setting, reflection, great questions and feedback.
After attending this training, participants will be able to:
- Define coaching in child welfare
- Recognize similarities, differences and connections between supervision and coaching
- Know how to apply the UC Davis Child Welfare Skills-Based Coaching Model
- Facilitate coaching conversations by asking great questions, setting meaningful goals and providing feedback.
The Coaching Institute will provide intensive learning opportunities for coaching in the field of child welfare practice. This workshop will be highly interactive.
