Business Intelligence 4.3 (Introduction – Part B)

This course provides a continuation of the introduction to Business Intelligence course. Part B focuses on users who completed the first Introduction to Business Intelligence course, before completing the intermediate Business Intelligence course.

After completing this two-day training, participants will be able to:

  • Find and use the result objects by case dates, fiscal year, calendar year, child data, demographics, ethnicity, age, and gender
  • Use objects to filter the results by dates based on case start and/or case end dates
  • Use universe objects to filter results by service components or voluntary/court involvement
  • Use objects to filter the referral data on referral disposition, allegations of abuse, investigated referrals
  • Create a variable to calculate the number of days/month/years a case/referral has been open
  • Create a variable to indicate if an open case is new in the reporting period
  • Create a variable for report titles
  • Format reports by filter reports that sort data in tables, align report elements, and create titles for reports
  • Create a summary table of data on one variable and two variables (pivot table)
  • Create multiple report elements in a single report and single document (report tabs)
  • Filter reports at two levels by report level and table/chart level
  • Create a bar chart, column chart, and pie chart in a report
