A Symposium for Advanced Analytics Alumni
In continued partnership with Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago and UC Berkeley, the Northern Academy will host a one-and-a-half day symposium for California-based participants who have previously attended Advanced Analytics for Child Welfare Administration and the Advanced Analytics Data Slam. All past Advanced Analytics participants statewide are invited to enroll.
Present Your Successes and Challenges
Past Advanced Analytics participants are invited to propose a short presentation highlighting a recent or ongoing area of concern in which they draw upon the skills they learned in the Advanced Analytics/Data Slam. Participants may choose to present in a standard or workshop format; the latter format would involve active participation and feedback from the audience.
From Data to Knowledge to Evidence
In addition to alumni presentations, this symposium will have expert presenters on a number of topics, including but not limited to:
- Overview of Advanced Analytics/Data Slam in California counties
- Evaluation report on AB 12 (Extended Foster Care)
- Special focus on state priorities (such as CCR reform)
- Special focus on federal CFSR-3
Requirements
Completion of the Advanced Analytics for Child Welfare Administration/Data Slam courses are required prior to attending the Advanced Analytics Reunion/Symposium. More information on attending these prerequisite courses is available on the Academy website.
