CWS/CMS Consortium

The Northern Academy at UC Davis Human Services partners with a consortium of northern California counties to provide Child Welfare Services Case Management System (CWS/CMS) training at a state-of-the-art computer lab in Orland, Glenn County.

Staff from agencies within the consortium may enroll in classes free of charge. Staff from non-consortium agencies are subject to registration fees and should contact the Northern Academy to enroll.

The consortium includes these participating counties: Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Lake, Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama and Trinity.

CWS/CMS Training to Fulfill Core Requirement

There is a CWS/CMS training requirement for Core, which may be fulfilled by completing the first day of the CWS/CMS for New Users training. However, it is strongly recommended that you complete all four days of the training. You may register for CWS/CMS for New Users through the currently scheduled sections below.

IMPORTANT NOTE: COVID Safety for In-Person Classes

The Northern Academy follows UC Davis COVID-19 protocols for in-person instruction. Trainings held off-campus may have additional requirements. Enrolled participants will be notified in advance of any site- and/or county-specific requirements. Any updates to campus protocols will be communicated to participants as soon as the information becomes available. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transitory period.
