Foundational Skills for Office Support Staff

This workshop focuses on the vital skills needed by staff with clerical or other office support responsibilities. Participants will explore the dynamics of customer service and develop awareness of key skills that empower excellence. As a result of this workshop, participants will understand and appreciate their role as essential team members in meeting the agency’s mission and goals.

In this course, participants will: 

  • Develop skills in communication, customer service and technology use to effectively manage reception tasks 
  • Learn how to handle inquiries, complaints and emergencies effectively  
  • Streamline processes for managing visitors, calls and correspondence, making operations more efficient  
  • Gain familiarity with company policies, procedures and values, promoting consistency and compliance 
  • Encourage a culture of learning, professionalism and adaptation

Fee Details: The enrollment fee for this ½ -day class is $127.50 per participant or .03 training units for those utilizing their county contract. This fee includes quality instruction from subject-matter expert(s), research-based curricula and all digital course materials.

Training Format: This program will be offered via remote learning using Zoom. Login information will be provided after your enrollment is processed.
