Common Core 3.5 Field Advisor Training

This one-day class provides an overview of the Common Core 3.5 (CC 3.5) sequence, with a focus on the field activities new social workers must complete as part of their Common Core requirements. It is intended to prepare participants to support their field advisees before, during and after each field activity.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Identify the five practice areas in core training and describe how they contribute to child welfare practice
• Describe the training modalities utilized in CC 3.5
• Understand how the field advisor role supports ICPM implementation and integration into the day-to-day work with families through transfer of learning
• Describe the role and responsibilities of the field advisor
• Value and uphold their role as an agent of change within their organization
