Privacy

All information is confidential

Any personal information we collect online will remain confidential, unless disclosure is required by law. We do not sell any information gathered on our site to third parties.

Data security

All personal information submitted on our site via the Internet is secure. All of our forms (enrollment, inquiry, applications and online surveys) are protected by VeriSign's Commerce Site Services. (VeriSign has secured over 300,000 Web sites, including the top 40 e-commerce sites and virtually all of the Fortune 500 businesses with a Web presence.) Our digital certificate offers 128 bit Secure Socket Layer encryption. SSL comes in two strengths, 40-bit and 128-bit, which refer to the length of the "session key" generated by every encrypted transaction. The longer the key, the more difficult it is to break the encryption code.

The Center for Human Services is committed to data security. Once data has been submitted on our site, we take every reasonable precaution to protect the security, integrity and privacy of the personal information that is temporarily stored on our system.

Use of enrollment information

When you enroll in a course or make an inquiry, we use your information to process your request. We may need to contact you if we have questions regarding your enrollment online. Occasionally we contact people who have enrolled or inquired about one of our programs online to ask them questions about their experience.

Research

We occasionally conduct online surveys. Your responses are confidential and will be used for statistical analysis only.

Log analysis

We collect IP addresses for the purpose of system administration and to report aggregate information. We monitor aggregate information such as the number of unique users who visit certain sections of our site. This information is not personally identifiable and is used to improve our site.
