Fiscal Essentials for Children's Services Forum

November 3, 2009, at the University of California, Davis

The Fiscal Essentials for Children's Services Forum provides an opportunity for representatives from county and state child welfare and related agencies to join together to learn and share information on new ways to fund children's services. Funded by the California Department of Social Services, the forum will give participants the opportunity to learn from county and state experts in both program and fiscal matters as they discuss innovations in funding child welfare services.

This year's Forum will focus on the innovative methods that several California counties have implemented to serve children and families. Panels representing the various partners in county child welfare systems will share programmatic and fiscal approaches for leveraging resources in these times of diminishing capacity.

Forum topics include:

  • HIV
  • substance abuse
  • First 5
  • Kinship
  • EPSDT
  • differential response
  • matching funds
  • integrated services
  • interagency agreements
