In-Home Supportive Services
The new In-Home Supportive Services curriculum responds to the growing importance of IHSS in serving people with impairments or disabilities.
Although historically underutilized and often misunderstood, the IHSS program can provide services critical to allowing vulnerable individuals to live safely in their own homes and communities.
In light of local public authority and other emerging issues, highly trained IHSS program staff are more essential now than ever. To ensure that people receive appropriate services, workers need a thorough understanding of IHSS eligibility and other program issues.
Agencies may offer the following workshops individually or group them as an orientation series for new IHSS workers.
